Ashantigold forward Yaw Annor has equaled Ishmael Addo’s 22 goals in a single Ghana Premier League season following his brace against Bibiani Goldstars.
Annor scored twice in his side's 2-2 draw on Sunday afternoon. The goals were his 21st and 22nd of the season, beating Kotoko's Mbella Etouga who scored 21 goals in his debut season.
After 21 years, the enterprising forward has equaled the long-standing record by Ishmael Addo.
His brace against Goldstars has also won him the Ghana Premier League goal king gong at the expense of Asante Kotoko’s Frank Mbella who scored 21 goals.

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Kumasi Asante Kotoko have been presented with the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League title in their final home game of the season.
The Porcupine Warriors wrapped up the title last week after a 1-1 draw against Ashantigold but had to be crowned champions in front of their fans in the game against Elmina Sharks.
In photos posted on Twitter, the players were seen receiving their medals as captain Abdul Ganiyu lifted the trophy.
