But the highlight of the Europa League finals was when substitute Aaron Ramsey's missed a penalty during the shootout, which inadvertently led to Frankfurt being crowned as winners of the competition.

The former Arsenal man was introduced into the thick of affairs in the dying embers of extra-time by coach Giovanni van Bronckhorst, purposely for the penalty shootout.

However, what was supposed to be a tactical masterstroke ended in tears for the Gers as Frankfurt ended their 42-year European drought.

After the game, soccer fans singled out Aaron Ramsey for trolling. According to fans, his Arsenal genes cost Rangers the finals.
