Reports from the Super Eagles camp say Union Berlin striker Taiwo Awoniyi and Enyimba goalkeeper John Noble have arrived for the final preparation before the Africa Cup of Nations kicks off, Complete Sports reports.
Their arrival was confirmed on the team’s official Facebook page on Wednesday night as they join Orlando Pirates defender Olisa Ndah who was the first to reach.
It was gathered that more players are expected to join the squad on Thursday as Nigeria prepare for the continental showpiece.
The three-time AFCON champions Nigeria are drawn in Group D with former AFCON winners Egypt, Sudan and Guinea-Bissau.
Five players in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) will be drafted to join the squad in training and act as standby.
According to the report, just a number of foreign players are expected in camp on opening day, so there is need to bring in a couple of players based in Nigeria.
Any of these five stars are also likely to be potential replacements for any player that pulls out of the 28-man squad due to an injury.
Augustine Eguavoen’s side will kick-off the tournament on January 11 against the Pharaohs of Egypt as they chase their fourth continental title.

Watford however are threatening not to release the former Club Brugge forward for Africa’s biggest football showpiece in Cameroon.
