Aribo has been in inspiring form for the current Scottish champions and was a key figure when the then Steven Gerrard-led team snatched their first league title in over a decade.

Complete Sports reports Leicester City are now ready to battle Aston Villa for the signature of the Nigerian.

Aston Villa plans to reunite Aribo with former Boss Steven Gerrard who took over reigns at the Birmingham based club but many pundits and Leicester fans as reported by Football Scotland believe the Rangers midfielder’s relationship with fellow Nigerians Wilfred Ndidi and Kelechi Iheanacho might just be the reason Leicester City will see the deal over the line.

Aribo who was recently listed in Nigeria’s provisional squad list for the AFCON in January will be a huge miss for Rangers if sold in January as the midfielder has been a key member for the Rangers team this season scoring six goals already.

Rangers will however look to command a hefty transfer fee for the Nigerian when the transfer window opens in January.
