NFF Discloses Stunning and Urgent Update on Victor Osimhen’s Availability for AFCON

Ademola Olajire who is the media director of the Nigerian Football Federation has stated emphatically that Victor Osimhen will definitely be among the Super Eagles players for the 2021 AFCON in Cameroon.

There have been reports that Italian side Napoli are not ready to release the Nigerian player because of how he is currently recuperating from injury.

Victor Osimhen is no doubt one of the best young strikers in the world considering his high sense of scoring goals and positioning on the pitch.

According to the report on Complete Sports who are citing BBC, Ademola Olajire made it clear that Victor Osimhen will arrive Super Eagles camp on January 23.

When are the Super Eagles entering camp?

Wednesday, December 29, is the day the NFF announced that the AFCON camp will open in Abuja and players are expected to train for few days before traveling to Cameroon.

Eguavoen opens up On Eagles list selection, admits sleepless nights in picking squad

Earlier, Sports Brief had reported how Nigeria’s interim coach Austin Eguavoen opened up on the process that led to the release of the Super Eagles final list to the African Cup of Nations happening in Cameroon next month.

The Technical Director of the Nigeria Football Federation released the Eagles list to the Afcon with four goalkeepers, nine defenders, five midfielders, and ten strikers making up the squad to the AFCON.

Napoli superstar Victor Osimhen, Captain Ahmed Musa, Watford’s William Troost-Ekong, and Sparta Rotardam’s Maduka Okoye top the list of invited players.
