There has been mild speculation on Salah’s future, especially after it emerged he was in contract talks with the Merseyside club.

While his current deal expires at the end of the 2022-23 season, Salah is keen on a new deal worth a staggering KSh 67 million a week.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Salah put rumours of his future to bed, saying:

"If you ask me, I would love to stay until the last day of my football career, but I can't say much about that - it's not in my hands.
“It depends on what the club want, not on me.
"At the moment I can't see myself ever playing against Liverpool. That would make me sad. It's hard, I don't want to talk about it, but it would make me really sad.

The Egyptian has had an outstanding season so far, scoring 12 goals in 11 games in all competitions.

He is the current top scorer in the Premier League after his latest superb showing against Watford on Saturday, October 16.

And only recently, he became the fastest Liverpool player to clock 100 goals for the club.

His performances in recent weeks will certainly merit a massive new contract, and Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp recently endorsed his talents by claiming the Egyptian was the best player in the world.

Salah's milestone after Atletico Brace

The Egyptian recently achieved a unique feat as he became the first Liverpool player to score in nine consecutive games.

Salah scored a brace during the Group B clash as he inspired Liverpool to a 3-2 thrilling win at Wanda Metropolitano.
