It appears renowned former Premier Soccer League (PSL) prosecutor Advocate Zola Majavu is likely to return to the hotseat.

Advocate Majavu was once the chief executive officer of the PSL, but resigned abruptly back in October 2011 amid much controversy. He had initially graduated to the position after coming into much acclaim as a prosecutor at the organisation.

His imminent return comes weeks after former PSL prosecutor Nande Becker resigned from the post. While reasons were not given for his resignation, it happened amid a storm of legal battles the league was embroiled, including the Kaizer Chiefs Covid-19 postponement saga.

According to TimesLive, Majavu's tenure would run until the end of the 2021/22 season at the very least. There were no indications whether it would be made permanent at that point.

Response to the news varied from negative to cynical.
