- The duo are a source of immense pride and joy for South African football fans and Mzansi is thrilled with their continued success
Pitso Mosimane's hunger for trophies remains insatiable.
Mosimane led Egyptian super-team Al Ahly to another continental title, this time snagging the African Super Cup from Raja Casablanca with a 6-5 victory on penalties after the match ended 1-1. The match was hosted in Al Rayyan, Qatar.
It was the second year in a row that Mosimane had won the CAF Champions League and CAF Super Cup trophies with the club, having taken over coaching duties in mid-2020.
The CAF Super Cup is an annual match contested between the winners of the CAF Champions League and the CAF Confederation Cup.
Fittingly for South Africans, Percy Tau was on hand to win his first trophy with Al Ahly since joining the club in August. He and Mosimane were part of the Mamelodi Sundowns side which won the CAF Champions League in 2016, for good measure.
The people of Mzansi beamed with pride at the duo's continued success.
