Mainge, who has been plying his trade with AFC Leopards was omitted from the squad which will be taking part in the 2019/20 season.

Before his loan move, the right-back was said to be on the radar of KPL champions Gor Mahia and big spenders Wazito FC.

However, the newly-promoted Slovakian side appears to have snapped up the once promising defender.

In an update shared on Ingwe's Twitter account on Sunday, July 14, Mainge is set for a move overseas.

"Yusuf Nasr Mainge has left the club . He'll be joining a Slovakian team FK Pohronie on a season long loan. All the best Mainge," the KPL club divulged.

The Kenyan international joined Leopards at the start of the 2018 season straight from Kakamega High School, but failed to pin down a starting role at the den.

However, his international career has been on an upward tragectory as he has been a key squad member with Harambee Stars U20 side who he captained at one time.

He was also part of the Kenya U23 team that was bundled out of the 2020 Olympic qualifiers by Sudan earlier in the year.
