After concluding the 2023-24 campaign on a high note, securing a spot in the Europa Conference League and finishing sixth following a turbulent season under Mauricio Pochettino, the club is brimming with confidence heading into the new season.

Although it is still early July, the West London side has already secured the signings of Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Marc Guiu, Omari Kellyman, and Tosin Adarabioyo, with several more potential additions anticipated after the 2024 Euros.

When will Maresca play his first game as Chelsea boss?

According to Sky Sports, Maresca will kick off his tenure with a pre-season match against Wrexham on July 25 and conclude with a game against Italian Serie A champions, Inter Milan, on August 11.

The real challenge begins when Chelsea launches their Premier League campaign against four-time defending champions Manchester City on August 18, where Enzo will go head-to-head with his mentor, Pep Guardiola.

What Enzo Maresca told Chelsea fans?

Confident about the club’s future, the former Leicester City boss has urged fans to "trust the process" while acknowledging that the journey ahead will be demanding.

"Just trust the process, trust the idea, be behind the team," the 44-year-old told the club's media.
"For sure, we are going to enjoy the journey. Like at every club, for every manager, it will not be easy because nothing is easy. But for sure, we are going to enjoy our journey."
