The Chelsea hierarchy will be pleased with what they saw after new boy, Estevao Willian, caused a stir with first goal for Palmeiras since he was announced as a Blues player.

Per transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, the deal has cost the London club a total package of €51 million, consisting of a €34mil fixed fee and €27mil in various possible add-ons.

The club also inserted a €4mil fee in the deal in case the highly-rated teenager wins the Ballon d'Or before 2033, which is the length of the eight-year contract he signed.

Estevao hits Cole Palmer’s goal celebration

Willian scored Palmeiras’ second goal in their 3-1 win over Juventude to secure all three points and move to within one point of Flamengo at the top of the Brasileiro Serie A table.

His celebration got tongues wagging after hitting that of his soon-to-be teammate, Cole Palmer, folding his arms on his body and making a freezing impression.

The 17-year-old shared the photo on his Instagram page and tagged the English winger, who responded with a wink and cold emojis in the comments and captioned it soon on his story.

Palmer scored 27 goals and provided 15 assists in all competitions in his first season at Chelsea after a £42.5mil move last summer.

Fans blast Southgate for benching Palmer

Sports Brief also previously reported on fans blasting Gareth Southgate for benching Palmer after failing to give any minute to the Chelsea star in their two games at Euro 2024 so far.

The 22-year-old led the Premier League in goals and assists last season and was rewarded with a spot on the team, but has sat on the bench for the duration of the two Euro games.
