Antonio Rudiger has caused a stir online after photos of him appearing to celebrate his crucial tackle against Denmark went viral.

The Real Madrid centre-back has played a key part in Germany's Euro 2024 campaign.

The 2014 World Cup champions are already through to the quarter-finals after their victory over Denmark on Saturday, June 29.

Germany set up a crunch last 16 meeting with the Red and Whites after finishing top of Group A with seven points.

The hosts kicked off their campaign with a 5-1 win over Scotland before seeing off Hungary 2-0 in their second group fixture.

They went on to wrap up their group-stage campaign with a 1-1 draw against Switzerland, with Niclas Fullkrug coming off the bench to equalise at stoppage time.

Rudiger celebrates epic tackle in Denmark clash

Julian Nagelsmann's charges are now through to the quarters after they secured a 2-0 win over Denmark in the knockouts on Saturday evening.

Kai Havertz opened the scoring for the hosts from the penalty spot in the 53rd minute before Jamal Musiala doubled the advantage in the 68th minute.

Rudiger was a big talking point during the clash, with the defender's reaction to his epic tackle in the closing stages sparking reactions.

In photos shared by ESPN on X, the former Chelsea star can be seen celebrating his challenge, which played a part in keeping Denmark at bay.

Earlier, Sports Brief reported on Rudiger showing his displeasure after Havertz made an error during their clash against Hungary.

The Group A clash ended in a 2-0 win for the hosts.
