Kaizer Chiefs are expected to announce Nasreddine Nabi as their new coach in the coming days.

The Tunisian will soon lead AS FAR Rabat in the Moroccan Throne Cup final against league champions, Raja Casablanca, before jetting to South Africa.

When he signs a deal with Amakhosi, the former Young Africans coach is set to become the highest-paid coach in the DStv Premiership.

The Glamour Boys are looking for a fresh start after a difficult nine years where they haven't won a single trophy.

Last season's 10th-place finish, their worst in the PSL era, perfectly sums up the club's fall from grace in the last few years. They scored 25 goals and suffered humiliating defeats throughout the season.

Nabi will replace Molefi Ntseki, who was let go seven months ago after just 114 days on the job, per SABC Sport.

The AS FAR Rabat boss is one of the most high-profile coaches on the African continent, and fans are expecting an instant impact.

What will Nasreddine Nabi earn at Kaizer Chiefs?

According to KickOff, Nabi will become the highest-paid coach in the PSL when he inks a deal with Kaizer Chiefs.

He signed a two-year deal with the Moroccan side last year after a hugely successful spell at Young Africans in Tanzania.

When Nabi joins Chiefs, he will earn a gross monthly salary of €40,000 (approximately R783,000). The report adds that Mamelodi Sundowns coach, Rulani Mokwena, is reportedly paid R600,000 per month.

How will Kaizer Chiefs play under Nabi?

Sports Brief also previously reported on a Raja Casablanca manager detailing Nasreddine Nabi's tactics.

Fadlu Davids said the incoming Kaizer Chiefs coach preferred the direct approach and utilising set-pieces.
