Kylian Mbappe was clearly distressed after Robert Lewandowski struck him in the nose during the final Group D match between France and Poland on Tuesday afternoon.
This marked Mbappe's first start for France in the tournament since breaking his nose in a game against Austria, where he wore a protective mask to safeguard his injury.
Despite the mask, the Real Madrid-bound star was seen grimacing in pain after receiving a blow while contesting for the ball.
He collided with Lewandowski, the Poland striker who plays for Mbappe's future El Clasico rival, Barcelona.

Lewandowski hits Mbappe's nose
A video circulating on social media, spotted by Sports Brief, shows the ex-PSG star displeased with the incident, appearing to criticise the former Bayern Munich star.
The clash occurred towards the end of the game, with the 25-year-old removing his mask and holding his nose, protesting the challenge.
As Lewandowski shielded the ball, Mbappe attempted to tackle him from behind, resulting in the Poland striker's arm catching Mbappe's nose.
Although there seemed to be minimal contact, the France captain was noticeably upset by Lewandowski's actions.
However, it was all hugs at full time, as the duo made up moments after Mbappe expressed his frustration.

Euro 2024 Round of 16 draw explained
Sports Brief has also reported on why France have been grouped on the same side as Germany, Spain and Portugal in the knockout stage.
France finishing as runners-up in their group meant that only one of the aforementioned big teams could reach the July 14 final in Berlin.
The other three finished as group winners and are expected to be drawn with 'modest' opposition in the next round.
