He has admitted many times that he has played with more ease and less pressure since helping Argentina to win the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar and completing football.

Why does Messi walk during matches?

The Inter Miami star is mostly seen walking during matches when he is not with the ball, and this has raised questions among fans, some of whom have accused him of being lackadaisical.

In an interview with Clank Media, the 37-year-old has opened up on what he achieves with that gesture and how it helps him see things ahead of time.

"When I walk, I analyse the positioning of the opponent, how we are positioned when we don't have the ball. I'm always attentive to marking assignments, tracking those who are left unmarked,” he said.
"I try to get away from my marker, mentally stepping out of the game to be well-positioned if we regain possession or to have extra time to start a counterattack or play. I study how the opponent sets up when they are attacking.”

These attributes cannot be coached into a player, which explains why Jose Mourinho told TNT Sports that no one can coach Messi, and that you'd instead learn from him because he was born with everything.

Is Pep Guardiola ruining football?

Sports Brief reported on Messi ‘accusing’ Guardiola of ‘ruining’ football after pointing out the downside of his former manager’s revolutionary tactics.

The pair enjoyed success at Barcelona in Pep’s first managerial job. 16 years later, the Spaniard has imprinted his style of play, such that every team wants to play like him.
