The Saudi Pro League stars at the European Championship in Germany continue to flourish with Al-Nassr ace Cristiano Ronaldo the latest to ink his name in the history of the competition with yet another record.

The Portugal captain starred as the 2016 champions strolled to a 3-0 victory over Turkey in their second group game to advance to the last 16 of the competition.

Ronaldo unselfishly set up Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes for Portugal's third in the second half to set a new record.

The former Manchester United and Real Madrid forward became the player with the most assists (7) at the European Champions, according to Squawka.

Ronaldo achieved the incredible feat in his sixth appearance at the championship, the most by any player in Europe.

"Qualified and first place guaranteed. Pride in this team, we are Portugal!" an excited Ronaldo posted on X after the game.

The Saudi Pro League took to their social media pages to celebrate the forward, describing him as the 'GOAT', which means the greatest of all time.

"Most goals scored in European Cup history: 14. Most goals scored in European Cup history: 8," SPL posted.

Meanwhile, in a dominant performance from the Selacaos, Manchester City midfielder Bernardo Silva opened the scoring in the 22nd minute before an own-goal from Samet Akaydin wrapped up the first half for the Portuguese.

Portugal will face Georgia in their final group game on June 26.

Ronaldo delivers assist in Portugal's win

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Cristiano Ronaldo registered his first goal involvement at the 2024 UEFA European Championship by assisting Bruno Fernandes in Portugal's dominant win over Turkey on Saturday afternoon.

Playing in his record sixth Euros, the 39-year-old provided a brilliant assist to his former Manchester United teammate, helping the Selecao secure their third goal and effectively seal the match.
