Manchester United goalkeeper, Andre Onana was honoured with a mural in Mexico following his visit to the country for a goalkeeping clinic.

The Cameroon international received a warm welcome from the people of Municipal de León, Guanajuato.

Onana in collaboration with sportswear company Rinat organised the Keepers Kombat 2024 in the Mexican City, with hundreds of fans witnessing the event.

In photos shared on social media, the former Ajax and Inter Milan star was honoured with a beautiful mural on the streets of Leon to celebrate his goalkeeping exploits.

An excited Onana took to social media to express his delight and hopes to visit Mexico again.

"Grateful to all the people of León and Guanajuato for their warm welcome and for having a great experience, I really enjoyed the #KeeperKombat. Thank you Rinat family! See you soon, Mexico," he wrote on X, formerly Twitter.

Onana ended a tough first season with Manchester United in England winning the FA Cup, playing a key role en route to the final against Manchester City.

The 28-year-old is expected to return to England in July to begin pre-season with the Red Devils, as reported by the club's official website.

Onana wins first trophy with Man United

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Andre Onana ended his first season with Manchester United with a silverware after their FA Cup triumph over rivals Manchester City at Wembley.

First-half goals from youngsters Alejandro Garnacho and Kobbie Mainoo were enough despite a late rally from the Premier League champions.

Jeremy Doku pulled one back for Manchester City with three minutes remaining but the Red Devils did enough to be crowned FA Cup winners.

Onana excited after FA Cup triumph

Sports Brief also reported that Manchester United goalkeeper, Andre Onana reached out to fans following the team's thrilling FA Cup victory.

The Red Devils defeated their rivals, Manchester City, 2-1 at a packed Wembley Stadium on Saturday, May 25.

Onana's stellar performance, including several crucial saves, was pivotal in securing the trophy.
