Maupay aims dig at Maddison after England exclusion

The £40 million Tottenham star took to his social media pages to release a statement after it was confirmed that he will not make the final shortlist to Germany.

He admits disappointment at not making the final list but was self-aware and honest to know that his form in the second half of the Premier League season after his injury was not good enough.

Everton forward Neal Maupay, who is notorious for trolling his colleagues and entertaining fans on social media, uploaded a picture of himself playing darts shortly after the announcement.

The picture was a direct dig at the English midfielder after the two clashed during the season after the French forward did the darts celebration, which Maddison had been doing this season.

The post generated mixed reactions among fans, with some calling for him to be respectful while others found it funny.

Maupay and Maddison clash on social media

Sports Brief reported on Maupay and Maddison clashing on social media after the Brentford star copied the English star's celebration during Spurs’ 3-2 win over the Bees in February.

The Spurs players got the last laugh as they came from behind to win the London derby. Maupay admitted he celebrated too early but still aimed a troll at Maddison.
