The 23-year-old is coming off a historic season with the German club, which won their first-ever Bundesliga title without losing a game.

Despite missing nearly four months of action, the striker also had a great individual season, finishing the season as the club's top scorer with 21 goals in 34 matches, per Transfermarkt.

Football Fans Tribe asked Boniface to name the fastest player in the Super Eagles camp and a familiar name came up.

"I think [Ademola] Lookman is the fastest player in the squad," he said [that section begins at 3:23 of the video below.

Lookman ended Boniface and Leverkusen's dream for a treble last season by scoring a historic hat-trick in the Europa League final.

Nice striker, Terem Moffi, was asked the same question, and he had a different answer.

"I think Ola Aina or myself are the fastest players."

Aina showed his true speed when he beat Manchester City's Kyle Walker in a foot race when Nottingham Forest played the Premier League champions.

Boniface wins Bundesliga award

Sports Brief also previously reported on Boniface winning the Bundesliga award as the Rookie of the Season, the first time a Leverkusen star achieved the feat.

The former Bodø/Glimt attacker was rated ahead of Borussia Dortmund's Ian Maatsen, Hoffenheim's Maximillian Beier, and Leipzig's Xavi Simons to win it.

Boniface opens up on missing 2023 AFCON

Sports Brief also previously reported on Boniface sharing his thoughts on AFCON 2023 after missing the tournament and watching from the sidelines.

The Bundesliga champion suffered an abductor injury just days before the tournament and his Nigerian team claimed the silver medal in his absence.
