According to The Mirror, Greenwood was impressive during his temporary stay at the La Liga club, contributing 10 goals and six assists in 36 appearances across competitions.

His performance was so remarkable that the 22-year-old was named Getafe's Player of the Season.

Despite leaving a mark during his time away, United are said to be keen to ship him away permanently in the summer.

However, the Red Devils' plan notwithstanding, fresh developments indicate that the youngster is unlikely to fail to find a possible suitor.

Dortmund want Greenwood in the summer

Per ESPN, Dortmund are among the top clubs that have registered their interest in signing the United academy graduate.

The publication claims that the German side are interested in signing Greenwood on loan.

Dortmund's sporting director, Sebastian Kehl, has since spoken on their links to the English star, saying:

"I don't want to talk about any rumours now at the moment because it makes no sense," he said. "Let's play that final on Saturday. Of course, we do have our plans for the next season and of course, we discuss many scenarios, but nothing for today," he added.

Meanwhile, Dortmund are sure to face stiff competition in their pursuit of the services of Greenwood.

Getafe, Juventus, Atletico Madrid, and Napoli are among the top European clubs that are understood to be monitoring his situation at the Theatre of Dreams.

Match suspended after Greenwood chants

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that a La Liga match between Getafe and Laaves was suspended temporarily after chants were aimed at Greenwood at the Mendizorrotza Stadium on May 18.

The Manchester United forward has received a mixed reception all season after he chose to move to Spain's top flight league after the Crown Prosecution Services dropped his charges last year.
