According to Sky Sports, United chiefs have already begun a review into the Dutchman's two-year spell at the club.

It is believed that despite the review being underway, ten Hag's fate is all but sealed.

A number of top names have since been floated as possible replacements for the former Ajax boss.

Pochettino is among those touted as the favourites to take charge at the Theatre of Dreams.

The Argentine is currently without a job after he parted company with the Blues after just a season in charge.

Poch likely to take Chelsea duo to Old Trafford

According to @centregoals, Pochettino is likely to take two Chelsea stars with him if he moves to Man United.

It is believed that the former Tottenham boss could lure Conor Gallagher and Trevoh Chalobah to the Manchester club.

The two footballers are already facing an uncertain future at Stamford Bridge, with the Blues desperate to move on some players to balance their books.

Gallagher, for instance, has been the subject of intense transfer speculation, with Tottenham Hotspur initially linked with a £50million bid.

On his part, Chalobah hardly featured in Chelsea's mixed run of form and results, further fuelling rumours the 24-year-old could be offloaded in the summer.

Eden Hazard unhappy with Poch sacking

Earlier, Sports Brief also reported on former Chelsea winger Eden Hazard expressing his disappointment after the Blues parted ways with Pochettino.

Hazard, regarded as a modern-day great at Stamford Bridge, also expressed his views on who should replace the former Tottenham boss, as he conveyed his sadness over the timing of his sacking at the west London club.
