Super Eagles striker, Victor Boniface, reacted after Bayer Leverkusen defeated Kaiserslautern to win their first-ever DFB Pokal in 31 years.
Former Arsenal midfielder, Granit Xhaka, scored the only goal of the game in the first half as Leverkusen claimed a deserving 1-0 win over the Bundesliga 2 side at the Olympiastadion on Saturday night (May 25).
Die Werkself were the clear favourites ahead of the final, but their 3-0 loss against Ademola Lookman's Atalanta in the Europa League final on Wednesday (May 22), which ended their unbeaten record, still lingers in the players' minds.
According to a report by Soccernet, Xabi Alonso's team put their midweek loss behind them and earned a deserved victory despite being one man down for most of the second half.
