Ghanaian midfielder, Thomas Partey has resumed his father role following the end of a long campaign with English Premier League side, Arsenal.

Partey and his partner, Janine Mackson, welcomed their first child together in January after months of dating. The Ghana international reportedly engaged his model girlfriend at a private event early this year.

Having battled injuries for most of the campaign, the ex-Atletico Madrid star returned to end the season on a strong note, helping Arsenal finish second behind Manchester City.

In photos shared on social media, Partey has been spending time with his newly-born baby on an Island as he takes a break from football after an injury-ravaged campaign.

The new father seemed to be enjoying the moment as he establishes a relationship with his daughter.

Meanwhile, the 30-year-old is expected to make a return to the Black Stars for the World Cup qualifiers in June against Mali and the Central African Republic.

The Black Stars deputy captain missed the Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast due to injury and was not included in the squad for the friendlies against Nigeria and Uganda in March.

Partey made only 16 appearances across all competitions for Arsenal in the just-ended season, per Transfermarkt.
