Manchester United goalkeeper, Andre Onana is backing striker Marcus Rashford to make the difference in the FA Cup final against Manchester City.

The Red Devils renew their rivalry with their neighbours on Saturday, May 25, at Wembley, with hopes of avenging the defeat suffered to the champions in the repeat of last season's FA Cup final.

Rashford, who was United's best player last season, has struggled to replicate the same form, which has seen him lose his position in the English team for Euro 2024.

However, heading into the final, Onana believes the English forward could be the hero for Manchester United.

"Rashford, how many goals did he score last season," he quizzed during an interview with ESPN. "How many goals has he scored this season," he asked again.
"We are talking about the same. Is he a bad player? So last season, he was good, this season he is bad. No, it's just about moments. You can have a bad season, you can have a bad start but the most important thing is how you end.
"Rashford for me is one of the best players in the world but he is facing difficulty like us, not only him and me but the club and he will come back and I know my killer will score some goals, some important goals and hopefully Saturday he will score two goals so we will win the FA Cup."

United will be hoping to put behind them a tough campaign when they face Man City on Saturday.

Onana joined Manchester United from Inter Milan last summer and after a difficult start to the season, the Cameroonian has become one of the key figures at Old Trafford.

The 28-year-old has made 50 appearances across all competitions for the English giants, per Transfermarkt.
