Gary Neville has made a surprise prediction for Manchester United's upcoming Premier League clash against rivals Arsenal.

The Red Devils are scheduled to host the title contenders on Sunday, May 12, at Old Trafford.

The match comes at a time when the two English giants are worlds apart in terms of form and performance, with the Gunners enjoying an impressive run that has them on the cusp of winning the title.

Mikel Arteta's charges have racked up an incredible 83 points after winning 26 of their last 36 outings, with the run having them sitting second in the standings behind Manchester City.

United, meanwhile, are currently sitting eighth after a mixed streak of results, which has seen them pick up just 16 wins in 35 games.

The Sunday cracker is of significance to both teams, with Arsenal keen to secure a positive result to keep their title hopes alive.

Neville predicts Man United vs Arsenal clash

With just hours to the Old Trafford down, The Mirror reports that Neville has made a surprise prediction for the much-awaited encounter.

Speaking to The Overlap, the former defender backed the Red Devils to hold the north Londoners and all but hand their rivals, City, the Premier League title.

“This is the big one. Arsenal have a poor record here. There’s three things that stand out to me. Firstly, this is massive for Arsenal. Secondly, United’s record against the big teams isn’t that bad at home. A lot of the top teams haven’t beat United at home," he noted.
“Look, Arsenal should win but I’m not sure they will. Arsenal should win but there’s a madness about Old Trafford and this game, usually in a title race it doesn’t work out how you think. I’m going 2-2, this is just my feeling. Arsenal should win but it’s a feeling I have," he added.

Bukayo Saka names favourite EPL stadium
