Manchester United will be without Harry Maguire for their biggest game of the year.

The Englishman has been ruled out of Saturday's FA Cup final after failing to recover from a muscle injury.

That didn't stop Maguire from showing support to his teammates ahead of their crunch clash against Manchester City.

Injured Maguire's message to United

He took to social media to deliver a message to the Red Devils, writing:

"Gutted I'll be missing the final - I'd do anything to be available but now full focus on supporting the boys. Come on United."

Maguire sustained a muscle injury during their training before United's match against Crystal Palace and has been out of action ever since. The last game he played was against Burnley on April 27, with the match finishing in a 1-1 draw.

However, it's not all doom and gloom for United on the injury front. Victor Lindelof, Mason Mount, and Anthony Martial have all recovered from injury and will be fit for the final showdown against City on May 25, per Yahoo.

Lindelof's recovery, in particular, is a major boost for United boss, Erik ten Hag, with Maguire unavailable for selection this Saturday.

They will have their work cut out for them against a City team that has just won its fourth consecutive Premier League title.

They defeated West Ham United 3-1 on the final day to beat Arsenal by two points. Phil Foden starred for City, scoring a brace in the first half against the Hammers.

Most successful players in FA Cup history

Sports Brief recently reported on the most successful players in FA Cup history.

Ashley Cole holds the record for most FA Cup titles, lifting the trophy seven times.

The legend won three FA Cups with Arsenal, before adding four more with Chelsea.
