Cristiano Ronaldo endured a frustrating outing with Al-Nassr in their penultimate Saudi Pro League match against Al Riyadh on Thursday, May 23.

The former Manchester United, Real Madrid, and Juventus ace failed to find the net for the second game in a row as the Knights of Najd battled back from a 2-1 deficit to secure a draw against the relegation-threatened side.

Despite a challenging night for Ronaldo, Al-Nassr started strong, with Otavio scoring his second goal in as many games, albeit with a deflection, per Sportstar.

However, their recurring defensive issues resurfaced, surrendering their lead in the 26th minute when former Watford striker Andre Gray capitalised on sloppy defending to equalise.

The situation worsened just before halftime when Mohammed Al Aqel doubled Al Riyadh's lead with an acrobatic effort that beat David Ospina in Al-Nassr's goal.

According to GOAL, Cristiano had a couple of good opportunities to score but uncharacteristically missed his chances, leaving the Knights of Najd trailing at halftime

One thing was notable. He was visibly dissatisfied with the scoreline, which came to a full circle at halftime.

The Portuguese phenom stormed to the dressing room ahead of his teammates.

As Ronaldo marched off, his teammates jadedly walked behind, discussing the game among themselves as they headed down the touchline.

What's next for Ronaldo and Al-Nassr?

While CR7 did not add to his 33 goals in the Saudi League, Meshari Al Nemer climbed off the bench to score the equaliser in stoppage time to rescue a point for the Knights of Najd.

They will now turn their attention to their last SPL game against Al-Ittihad, where Ronaldo will have a final opportunity to break the record for the most goals scored in a single Saudi League season.

Ronaldo's rare miss vs Al Riyadh

In an earlier publication, Sports Brief reported on Cristiano Ronaldo missing a golden opportunity against their local rivals.

In an unusual display, Ronaldo failed to convert several chances, a rare occurrence for the current top scorer in the Saudi League.

To the surprise of many, the five-time Ballon d'Or winner shot off target when facing Al Riyadh's goalkeeper, Martin Campana.
