Mauricio Pochettino is set to make an awkward return to Stamford Bridge in the coming weeks.
Chelsea announced on Tuesday, May 21, that they had parted ways with the Argentine ‘by mutual consent’, bringing an end to his 11-month tenure as the Blues’ boss.
In the club statement, Chelsea suggested the departure was amicable and that Pochettino was welcome back to Stamford Bridge at any time.

Well, this is set to be put to the test on June 9, when the former Paris Saint-Germain manager returns to the west London club’s home ground to oversee a Soccer Aid match.
According to talkSPORT, Pochettino, 52, will be in charge of the World XI team with Chelsea legend Eden Hazard.
Another former Chelsea man, Frank Lampard, will also be making a return to the Bridge.
Pochettino is familiar with Soccer Aid matches, having managed the World XI at Old Trafford in 2023.
The now-former Chelsea manager will be joined by his assistant, Jesus Perez, for the match on June 9.
