The ex-Hearts of Oak forward is one of the most talented footballers to ever play in the Ghanaian Premier League, winning several trophies with the Accra-based club.
Bortey also enjoyed success with Ghana's youth teams but had a short stint with the Black Stars, making just seven appearances for the four-time African champions.

According to Bortey, he was better than Ronaldo and believes his skills from the dead ball needed to be compared to other legends of the game instead.
"Ronaldo lags noticeably," Borrtey told Mother FM, as quoted by Ghana Soccernet. "You must compare me with Roberto Carlos, [Luis] Figo, [Andrea] Pirlo, [Francesco] Totti, Juninho, Ronaldinho, and others - but not with Ronaldo."
Although Bortey failed to live up to expectations when he moved abroad, he remains a legendary figure in Ghanaian football.
Meanwhile, Ronaldo, arguably the greatest player of all time, has been in sensational form in the Saudi Pro League, leading Al-Nassr to second place in the ongoing campaign.
He has scored 33 goals and provided 10 assists in the ongoing campaign, per Transfermarkt.
