Mohamed Salah loves breaking records and the 2023/24 Premier League season gave the Egyptian forward to reach new milestones in England’s topflight league.

The 31-year-old forward is regarded as one of the best attackers in the world and he lived up to those expectations again by leading the Reds to the Carabao Cup.

According to GOAL, Salah became the first player in the history of the Premier League to score 10-plus goals and provide 10 or more assists in three consecutive campaigns.

The Egyptian forward also boasts the record as the best-scoring African player in the league’s history ahead of Didier Drogba and Nwankwo Kanu.

Top 5 Mohamed Salah’s records

1. Most goals for an English club

In September 2023, Salah equalled Arsenal legend, Thierry Henry, for the most goals scored for an English club in Europe.

The Egyptian will eventually surpass the France forward’s record goals for Arsenal in Europe in March 2024 when he scored in Liverpool’s 6-1 demolition of Sparta Prague, Outlook reports.

2. 10+ consecutive goals and assists

Salah in the 2023/24 season became the first player to score 10-plus goals and create 10-plus assists in the history of the Premier League in three consecutive campaigns.

The Egyptian star contributed with a goal and an assist as Liverpool thumped Tottenham Hotspur 4-2 in a six-goal thriller in May 2024.

3. Most goals involved for a Liverpool player

Salah also holds the record for the most goals contributed in the Premier League for a Liverpool player, surpassing Steven Gerard in the precious achievement.

The former AS Roma star has netted 288 goals for the Reds and created 141 assists in 599 games in all competitions since arriving at the club in 2017.

In addition, Salah also boasts of the record for the most goals for Liverpool in the Champions League and the most consecutive Premier League opening weekend goals.

Liverpool urged to offload Salah

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Darren Bent has given Liverpool the pathway to sign Kylian Mbappe next season by offloading club legendary forward Salah.

Mbappe still feels unsettled after announcing mid-season that he will be leaving Paris Saint-Germain in the summer and the Reds have been advised to stake it all to sign the French forward.
