Aston Villa clinched Champions League football thanks to Tottenham's 2-0 loss to Manchester City, and their celebrations were electric.

The Spanish gaffer, along with his players and coaching staff, congregated in a function room during their yearly awards ceremony to watch the Tottenham vs Manchester City match, and the festivities erupted once the outcome was settled.

In a video shared on social media, Goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez, renowned as one of the liveliest personalities in the Premier League, quickly seized the spotlight by showering his manager with champagne.

In another scene, Lucas Digne exclaimed, "One more!" directly into the camera while fellow players danced on the table, slowly realising the magnitude of the club's accomplishment.

Earlier this month, Emery received a nomination for the Premier League's Manager of the Season award.

There likely aren't many fans who would object if the Spaniard were to win the prestigious prize by the end of the campaign.

When last did Villa play Champions League?

As reported by the BBC, the Villans clinched the European Cup twice, triumphing in consecutive seasons in 1981 and 1982.

However, they have not secured qualification for the competition since that time.

What's next for Aston Villa?

Aston Villa will conclude their season with an away match against the in-form Crystal Palace on Sunday, per the Guardian.

Although they aim to finish on a high note, the Villans' supporters can find solace in knowing that even a loss wouldn't shatter their Champions League aspirations.

Arsenal fans blast Son after Spurs loss

Sports Brief recently reported on Arsenal fans blasting Son following Tottenham's loss to Manchester City.

The South Korean star missed a glorious opportunity to tie the match in the 86th minute, with Ortega saving his shot attempt.

Gunners supporters claimed on social media that Son doesn't want to help Arsenal in their bid to win the Premier League title.
