Chelsea winger Mykhailo Mudryk has given a somewhat worrying answer after he was asked what fans should expect from him next season.

The Ukrainian winger has struggled to find top form since joining the Blues from Shakhtar Donetsk in January 2023.

According to Sky Sports, the west Londoners forked an eyewatering £88.5milion to secure his services on an eight-and-a-half-year contract.

However, Mudryk has yet to hit the ground running at Stamford Bridge since his highly-publicised transfer.

The 23-year-old has formed a part of Chelsea's struggles this season under Mauricio Pochettino which saw them miss out on a Champions League qualification.

Metro UK, the forward failed to score a goal in 15 Premier League games last term and registered just two assists.

Mudryk gives worrying answer on what fans should expect

Despite his struggles, there is hope among a number of fans that Mudryk will finally rediscover his form in the upcoming season.

So hopeful they are that one of them (@anishpokharel29) recently reached out to the Ukraine international on Instagram, posting:

"Misha, what can we expect from you for next season?"

Mudryk went on to provide a less assuring response and replied:

"Expectations are [what] kills our happiness."

Meanwhile, the former Shakhtar Donetsk star will be keen to leave a mark in two of Chelsea's remaining Premier League fixtures.

Having scored in his side's last outing against Nottingham Forest, Mudryk will be keen to add to his tally against Brighton and Bournemouth.
