Mohammed Kudus, crowned the final home game of the season with an assist as West Ham United defeated Luton Town at the London Olympic Stadium on May 11.

The Ghanaian forward has enjoyed an amazing first year in London, playing a pivotal role as the Hammers reached the quarter-finals of the UEFA Europa League.

Kudus' 13-goal haul in the Premier League has seen the Hammers climb to ninth on the table and could see them end the campaign in eighth place on the final day.

The Black Stars midfielder finished second on the podium for West Ham's Best Player of the Season Award, which was won by Jarrod Bowen.

However, he received the award for the Goal of the Season at the end of the game against Luton on Saturday, per the club's official website.

The 23-year-old joined West Ham last summer but is already attracting interest from top clubs in Europe, including Premier League rivals, Liverpool, who are set to trigger his release clause, as reported by Ghana Soccernet.

Kudus will aim to better his 13 goals and six assists when the Hammers travel to the Etihad Stadium for the final game of the season against Manchester City next week.

Kudus' solo against Freiburg wins GOTS

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Kudus won the Goal of the Season award at West Ham United for his amazing strike against Freiburg in the Europa League.

The West Ham star dribbled past four players before firing home with his weaker foot in a thrashing of the Bundesliga side in a Round of 16 second-leg tie.

Kudus netted twice in that match at the London Olympic Stadium as the Hammers advanced to the quarter-finals of Europe's second-tier competition.

Kudus makes promise to West Ham fans

Sports Brief also reported that Kudus pledged more for West Ham fans after an impressive first season with the Premier League club.

The 23-year-old joined the Hammers last summer, quickly becoming a fan favourite with dazzling performances in the Claret and Blue jersey.
