Despite the presence of the mothers of the Getafe players, Williams stole the show as he clinched a 2-0 victory for the Copa del Rey winners.
After the game, the Spain-born Ghanaian celebrated his mother while praising his younger brother, Nico Williams, for delivering the assists.
“My mother will be happy today. Today we (me and Nico) are not going to fight in the locker room. Super happy in the end. Hey, we understand each other very well. Today, he gave them (the assists) to me and maybe the next game I will give them to him,” he told Bilbao's media, as quoted by Ghana Soccernet.
The victory keeps Athletic Bilbao's UEFA Champions League dreams alive, with four games remaining to end the season.
