Inaki Williams has dedicated his brace against Getafe to his mother as part of the Mother's Day celebrations in Spain.

The Ghana international dented Getafe's special Mother's Day observation after scoring twice as Athletic Bilbao defeated the hosts at the Coliseum.

Before the game players of Getafe had walked onto the pitch with their mothers instead of the club mascots.

The heartwarming sight left fans in awe as they celebrated mothers in Spain, where the day is observed on the first weekend in May.

Despite the presence of the mothers of the Getafe players, Williams stole the show as he clinched a 2-0 victory for the Copa del Rey winners.

After the game, the Spain-born Ghanaian celebrated his mother while praising his younger brother, Nico Williams, for delivering the assists.

“My mother will be happy today. Today we (me and Nico) are not going to fight in the locker room. Super happy in the end. Hey, we understand each other very well. Today, he gave them (the assists) to me and maybe the next game I will give them to him,” he told Bilbao's media, as quoted by Ghana Soccernet.

The victory keeps Athletic Bilbao's UEFA Champions League dreams alive, with four games remaining to end the season.

Meanwhile, the brace also increases Inaki's tally for the campaign in La Liga to 11 goals, per Transfermarkt.

Williams' mother joins Copa del Rey celebrations

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that the mother of the Williams brothers, Madam Maria joined her sons and the Athletic Bilbao team during their on-water victory parade in the city of Bilbao.

Inaki and Nico Williams led the Basque club to their first Copa del Rey title in 40 years after beating Real Mallorca in the final last Sunday.

The Rojiblancos have been celebrating throughout the week and crowned all activities with a majestic sea parade, as dozens of boats and ships carried thousands of fans to meet their heroes.
