Morocco midfielder, Brahim Diaz, has shared his excitement after starring in Real Madrid's victory over Cadiz as Los Blancos were crowned champions of Spain.

The Spain-born forward scored and delivered an assist as Real Madrid quickly wrapped up the league with four matches remaining.

Although Diaz has played a peripheral role since returning to the club after a successful loan spell from AC Milan, his input has been key to the club's success.

After a barren first half, Diaz opened the scoring after meeting a lovely assist from veteran midfielder Luka Modric six minutes after the break.

He then went from scorer to provider after serving Englishman Jude Bellingham with the club's second before Joselu sealed victory late in the game.

An excited Diaz took to Instagram to share his delight, posting: "We are league champions. I love you Real Madrid."

The Morocco international contributed ten goals this season in La Liga, scoring six and serving four assists, per Tranfermarkt.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid will now switch their attention to the second leg of their UEFA Champions League semi-final clash against Bayern Munich on Wednesday.

Diaz will be hoping to play a pivotal role in Europe as he looks set to join compatriot Achraf Hakimi as a European champion with the Spanish giants.

Brahim Diaz stars as Real Madrid beat Cadiz

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Real Madrid earned a comfortable 3-0 win over Cadiz which ensures they will win La Liga if Barcelona fails to beat Girona later Saturday.

Los Blancos did their homework against the Andalucian stragglers to move a step closer to a record-extending 36th Spanish title, which could be theirs within a matter of hours.

Brahim Diaz netted in the 51st minute to put Madrid ahead and then set up Jude Bellingham for the second, with Joselu tapping home a third to leave Madrid just one point away from clinching the title.
