Manchester City went on to beat the Spanish giants en route to winning the competition last season.

However, a year on, Los Blancos avenged their loss as they defeated the English champions on penalties to reach the semi-final, where they will face Bayer Munich.

In reacting to the result, Marca, took to social media to post a video of Dabo telling the world Haaland is not a good player.

"Everything makes sense a year later with Haaland and Rüdiger... THANK YOU Samuel Dabo," wrote Marca with the video on social media.

Dabo's comments also became a viral audio on TikTok, with over a hundred thousand TikTokers using it for their content.

Haaland struggled in both legs against Real Madrid, with Germany defender Antonio Rudiger doing a good job of keeping him at bay.

Man City will now turn their attention to the Premier League and the FA Cup while Real Madrid chase a 15th UEFA Champions League title, per UEFA.
