Kelechi Iheanacho could part ways with Leicester City at the end of the season after turning down a new deal from the newly promoted English Premier League side.
The Super Eagles forward had played a peripheral role for the Foxes this campaign, as coach Enzo Maresca preferred Zambian Patson Daka to lead the line for the Championship winners.
According to Punch NG, Leicester City had offered Iheanacho an improved contract with a weekly wage of £65,000 but the deal was turned down by the 27-year-old forward who is wanted by Aston Villa.
Iheanacho’s present deal with the Foxes is set to expire at the end of the season and the Nigerian could walk away for free as suitors in England and Turkey queue for his signature.

Unai Emery is reportedly a huge fan of the Nigerian forward and is seeking to add the 27-year-old to bolster his squad with the UEFA Champions League beckoning next season after a brilliant campaign.

Iheanacho among Nigeria's poor forwards
Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Iheanacho is facing his worst goalscoring drought in his career in what has been a frustrating season for the Leicester City forward.
The Nigerian has been unable to find the back of the net since netting against Swansea in October 2023 despite having a stellar start to the 2023/24 campaign for the Foxes.
Iheanacho has made only one start for Leicester since returning from the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in February after being dropped to the bench for his poor form.
