Didier Drogba's debut season with Chelsea

Drogba managed to score in double figures in his first season in the Premier League with Chelsea, recording 10 goals in the 2004-05 campaign.

He opened his account in the 2-0 win against Crystal Palace on August 24, 2004, giving Chelsea the early lead in the 28th minute.

He helped the Blues record a 1-0 victory over Middlesbrough on September 25, 2004, scoring the game's lone goal in the 81st minute.

He scored his first-ever Premier League goal at Stamford Bridge on December 4, 2004, netting a goal in the 69th minute. That was part of a four-goal outburst for the Blues after the hour mark.

His final league goal in 2004 came in the 4-0 win against Norwich on December 18, scoring in the 83rd minute.

The Ivorian started 2005 with a bang, nabbing braces against Middlesbrough and Portsmouth in January.

He added another goal in the 1-0 win against West Bromwich Albion on March 15 before closing his league account on April 9 with a goal in the 1-1 draw against Birmingham City.

Nicolas Jackson's debut season with Chelsea

Some fans have blamed Jackson for Chelsea's struggles this campaign, but surprisingly the Senegalese forward has scored more goals than Drogba in their first seasons with Chelsea.

He has already found the back of the net 11 times in the Premier League this season, one more than Drogba's tally in the 2004-05 campaign.

He passed Drogba's mark on Thursday night, scoring Chelsea's second goal in their win against Tottenham Hotspur.

He scored a goal each against Luton, Burnley, Manchester City, Sheffield United, Brentford, Newcastle United, and Everton this season, per TransferMarkt.

He also bagged his first Premier League hat-trick in the game against Spurs on November 6, 2023.

Jackson can add to his goal tally with the Blues set to play four more league matches this season.

Postecoglou goes berserk as Spurs lose again

Sports Brief recently reported on Ange Postecoglou's reaction to Tottenham's loss to Chelsea.

The Spurs manager went berserk in an unusual meltdown at Stamford Bridge.

He lashed out at his players after they conceded the opening goal.
