A surprise candidate has emerged in the race to become Chelsea's next manager.
Former Blues boss Antonio Conte has reportedly offered himself to manage the London-based club again starting next season.
The news comes as rumours swirl that Mauricio Pochettino will be let go by Chelsea at the end of the 2023-24 season.
Conte putting out feelers for Chelsea return
According to Goal.com, Calcio Mercato reported that the Italian has sent out feelers to convince his former team to recruit him this coming offseason.

Conte is banking on his previous experience leading the club between 2016 and 2018 to sway the current owners into hiring him once more.
He found success in his two-season stint with Chelsea, helping the Blues capture the 2016-17 Premier League title and the FA Cup in the 2017-18 campaign, per Sports Illustrated.
He moved to Inter Milan in 2019 and also worked his magic with the Italian club. He helped Nerazzurri claim the Serie A crown in the 2020-21 season, their first league title since the 2009-10 campaign.
Conte returned to England in November 2021 to manage Premier League side Tottenham. He helped Spurs reach the Champions League for the first time since 2020 after leading the club to a fourth-place finish in the 2021-22 season.
He left the club by mutual consent on March 26, 2023, after Tottenham suffered exits in the Champions League and FA Cup.
