Liverpool needed a win against West Ham United on Saturday to keep their flickering title hopes alive.

They got off to the worst possible start, conceding a goal in the 43rd minute to trail West Ham United 1-0 at the break.

Jurgen Klopp's reaction to the goal immediately went viral, with fans making fun of the Liverpool manager and his team's struggles.

Klopp bowed his head and looked sad as he contemplated another losing position for the Reds.

Fans made fun of Klopp's reaction, saying he was running out of energy.

Those words were spoken by Klopp months ago when he announced that he would be leaving Liverpool at the end of the season.

Liverpool entered Saturday's clash against West Ham having dropped points in three of their previous four league matches.

They were coming off a deflating 2-0 loss to crosstown rivals Everton in the Merseyside derby, a result that caused them to drop to third place in the Premier League table.

The Reds showed some fight after the half-time interval, tying the match in the 48th minute through a goal from Andrew Robertson.

Liverpool then grabbed the lead in the 65th minute after West Ham goalkeeper Alphonse Areola scored an own goal.

Michail Antonio thwarted the Reds' bid to grab all three points, scoring a dramatic equaliser in the 77th minute, per the BBC.

No more goals were scored after that as both clubs settled for a 2-2 draw.

Klopp and Salah involved in heated exchange

Sports Brief recently reported on the touchline row between Jurgen Klopp and Mohamed Salah.

Liverpool's two key figures had a heated exchange in the closing minutes of their match against West Ham United.

The pair traded barbs with each other, forcing Darwin Nunez to step in and separate the two men.
