  • Inter Miami went out of the CONCACAF Champions Cup after losing to Monterrey
  • Lionel Messi's return to action could not help, and they lost 5-2 on aggregate
  • Fans are calling for Luis Suarez to face retrospective action after his dirty antics

Luis Suarez is one of the dirtiest players ever to play football, and despite nearing the end of his career, the striker continues to pull off his antics whenever he feels like.

He reunited with former teammate and friend Lionel Messi in the summer at Inter Miami after ending his time with Brazilian club Gremio a year earlier than his contract stipulated.

Per Goal, He has settled in quite quickly, and his haul of five goals and three assists in seven games earned him the Player of the Month for February and March.

However, his goalscoring form could not help the Herons avoid defeats and subsequent elimination in the CONCACAF Champions League to Liga MX club Monterrey.

Suarez pulls WWE move on Guzman

Miami went into the second leg of the quarter-final facing a difficult task after a 2-1 loss at home, despite Messi's return, who missed the first leg due to a muscle injury.

The Uruguayan forward proved he had mostly stayed the same from the old dirty player he was known for after pulling the WWE signature armbar move on Victor Guzman.

The 37-year-old grabbed and twisted the defender's arm in an off-ball incident that went unnoticed by the referee, and fans are calling for retrospective action against the former Barcelona striker.

Per Mirror UK, he is no stranger to controversies; he was banned twice in Europe for biting opponents, including former Chelsea star Branislav Ivanovic and also for racially abusing Patrick Evra.

Suarez parties with Messi in Miami

Sports Brief reported on Suarez partying with Messi in Miami after drawing their first pre-season game ahead of the 2024 season against El Salvador 0-0.

The Argentina captain showed his friend around the city after they reunited at the Florida club, and nightlife was one of the selected places they visited with their wives.
