Ghana winger, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku, brought back memories of Asamoah Gyan's iconic dance celebration after performing it following his hat-trick heroics on Tuesday night.

The 20-year-old Ghana international scored his first career treble and provided an assist as the Foxes dismantled Southampton at the King Power Stadium.

Issahaku, who has been on loan from Portuguese outfit Sporting Lisbon, has been the club's livewire in their quest for an early return to the Premier League, having made 18 goals contribution in the Championship.

In a video that has since gone viral on social media, Issahaku ran to the touchline after completing his hat-trick to perform the iconic dance.

Gyan praises the youngster while urging him to continue his legacy after spotting the moment on social media.

"Continue the legacy boy," wrote Gyan on X, formerly Twitter.

Gyan spent a season and a half in England, where he starred for Sunderland in the Premier League, scoring ten goals in 34 matches.

Meanwhile, Issahaku is hoping to lead Leicester City back to the Premier League after suffering demotion last season.

Issahaku shares excitement after hat-trick heroics

Fatawu Issahaku has expressed delight after scoring his first treble for Leicester City in the victory over Southampton, describing the feeling as amazing.

"I don’t think I can tell you how I feel," he said after the game, as quoted by LCFC. "It’s so amazing and I feel so happy for this day. This is what we’re here to do and we are just going more and more where we want to.
"I’m so happy. Today was a big day. Everyone, including the bench and the whole team, was supportive. We ended up getting the three points, so it was a good day."

Issahaku nets hat-trick against Southampton

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Ghanaian forward, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku scored a hat-trick as Leicester City brushed aside Southampton in the English Champions.

Issahaku produced a five-star performance after also delivering an assist at the King Power Stadium.

The former Ghana youth international walked home with the match ball and the man-of-the-match award.
