Arsenal have since cemented their lead at the top after a 5-0 demolition of Chelsea last night (April 23).
Arteta had expressed confidence in beating the Blues, with his accurate prediction putting the Gunners in a strong position to win the Premier League title for the first time in two decades.
In a pre-match press conference, Arteta exuded confidence his team's mentality gives them a psychological advantage in the Premier League title race against Manchester City and Liverpool.
The Spaniard emphasised the benefit of playing first among the title contenders.
