After gathering information on his players, Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino will reportedly hold a meeting with top club officials to discuss the future of the London side.

The development comes after Pochettino expressed his disappointment with his team's missed scoring opportunities in the FA semi-final against Manchester City.

The Blues have endured a mixed run of form and results across competitions, with the Stamford Bridge dwellers set to end the season without a trophy.

Pochettino's charges were close to winning a trophy back in February but lost the Carabao Cup final to rivals Liverpool.

Their only chance of securing silverware was shattered on Saturday when they were eliminated from the FA Cup by City.

Pochettino wants talks with Chelsea bosses

Given Chelsea's performances this season, Football London reports that Pochettino believes strong discussions with the club's management are important in his bid to revamp Chelsea's quality in preparation for next season.

"After nearly a season, we have all the information," Pochettino said, according to the Mirror.
"We'll be talking to the club to share our opinions and work together to build a stronger team for next season."

Meanwhile, as Chelsea face rivals Arsenal on Tuesday night, Pochettino has requested patience from the fans regarding the young players in the squad, allowing them to fully develop their potential.

"We need to see how they evolve and the level they can reach," he added.

How Chelsea could line up vs Arsenal

In other news, Sports Brief reported on Pochettino facing a big squad selection headache ahead of Chelsea's Premier League clash against rivals Arsenal.

The Argentine could be without Cole Palmer for the Emirates Stadium trip, with the Englishman said to be ill.

Palmer has been the Blues' standout player this season, having already scored 20 league goals to sit joint-top with Erling Haaland in the goalscorers' charts.
