Erik ten Hag has reportedly dealt with Alejandro Garnacho for 'liking' a social media post criticising the manager.

The Manchester United boss is currently facing an uncertain future at Old Trafford following a poor run of form and results across competitions this season.

The Dutchman has struggled to stabilise the ship at the Theatre of Dreams, with their mixed run of form likely to cost them a Champions League spot.

The Red Devils' underwhelming results have seen ten Hag come under heavy scrutiny from fans and pundits, with his own players seemingly unhappy with him.

The Telegraph reports that Garnacho was at the centre stage over the weekend for liking two tweets questioning ten Hag's tactics, including one involving the substitution of the Argentine at halftime of their Premier League clash against Bournemouth.

Ten Hag deals with Garnacho

Manchester Evening News now claims that ten Hag has since 'dealt with' Garnacho following the winger's latest social media activity.

According to the publication, citing a United spokesperson, the matter was dealt with internally.

However, the spokesperson is said to have declined to clarify if Garnacho has been outrightly disciplined.

On his part, while reflecting on the youngster's substitution, ten Hag said:

"Garnacho was during the week not training. Only yesterday. We thought bring some energy and bring some more quality, quality in the sense of cooperation and togetherness on that right-hand side."

It now remains to be seen if Garnacho will be involved in United's next fixture against Coventry in the FA Cup on Sunday, April 21, at Wembley Stadium.

Ten Hag storms out of press conference

Earlier, Sports Brief also reported on ten Hag walking out of a press conference after being quizzed about the possibility of Manchester United having their worst-ever finish in the Premier League.

The Dutch tactician had just watched his side drop points in the top flight again after Bournemouth held them to a two-all draw at the Vitality Stadium.
