Barcelona are reportedly revisiting their interest in Chelsea's Carney Chukwuemeka, aiming to secure his signature.

The Spanish giants were among the clubs interested in acquiring the services of the England youth international before he joined the Blues in 2022.

The Super Eagles eligible midfielder, has struggled for game time since joining the Blues, making just nine Premier League appearances this season due to recurring injuries.

According to TalkSport, the Blaugrana see an opportunity to capitalize on this, hoping to convince him to move to Catalonia at the end of the current campaign.

Highly rated by Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino, it remains uncertain whether the club will be willing to sacrifice him to generate funds to reinforce the squad, particularly in attack, where they seek to sign a world-class striker.

Chukwuemeka's style of play could fit nicely into a modern Barca team and could use physicality to his advantage in La Liga. However, due to the club's current financial constraints, they may not be in a position to splash out lots of cash for him.

Chelsea faces a similar, albeit less restrictive situation. They have to sell players before signing, but selling players acquired in the last couple of years makes little financial sense unless they can get a significant profit on what they paid.

As reported by Football Transfers, the 20-year-old's Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) is just €4.5m due to his lack of first-team football, but the Blues would demand a far higher fee, especially given that his current contract runs until 2028.

In addition to Chukwuemeka, Barcelona have also been linked with two other Super Eagles midfielders, Wilfred Ndidi and Raphael Onyedika.

Sports Brief reported that Chukwuemeka bought himself a huge mansion worth £4.8 million.

Land records show the property had a guiding price of £5.5 million.

The Surrey home boasts some incredible features, affording the youngster a comfy stay.
