After an unfortunate stop to Arsenal’s dream of winning the Champions League title on Wednesday night, the Gunners are looking forward to selling four of their players in a quest to strengthen their squad ahead of the 2024/25 season.

Arsenal have had a stellar show this season, enjoying a run of fine form and results across competitions.

The north London-based club looked set to end their long wait to conquer Europe this term, only for Bayern to send them packing in the quarter-finals on Wednesday night.

Their elimination now leaves them with only the Premier League to challenge for, but they still face stiff competition from Manchester City and Liverpool, who are also angling for glory.

According to reports, the Emirates-dwellers are now looking to offload some players ahead of the summer transfer window.

5 players Arsenal want to sell

Metro UK reports that the quartet of Eddie Nketiah, Aaron Ramsdale, Reiss Nelson, and Ghana national Thomas Partey are among the players that Arsenal are looking to offload during the Summer.

According to the publication, the four would act as the sacrificial lambs as the Gunners work on building a stronger squad for the coming season.

With fresh uncertainties on Oleksandr Zinchenko, it is understood that the Gunners might be looking for a new left-back to tighten their defence.

In their match against Bayern, Nketiah was brought in during the last four minutes of normal time and did not have any major influence on the results.

Crystal Palace and West Ham have expressed interest in the services of the forward and Arsenal are willing to let the forward go.

Wolves’ forward Petro Neto is on top of Arsenal’s wishlist if Reiss departs in the Summer.

Partey has been linked to the Saudi Pro League, while Ramsdale is being sought by Newcastle United and Chelsea.

How Arsenal stars reacted to UCL exit

Earlier, Sports Brief reported on Arteta opening the lid on how his charges reacted after they were dumped out of the Champions League.

The Gunners were silenced 1-0 during the second leg of the tournament staged at the Allianz Arena on Wednesday night to exit the European competition.

Arteta's men went into the tie with the hope of seeing off the German side for a chance to reach the semis.
