Mohammed Kudus remains confident ahead of West Ham United's Europa League second-leg quarter-final clash against new German champions, Bayer Leverkusen.

Die Werkself wrapped up the Bundesliga title with five games to spare following a dominant performance against Werder Bremen on Sunday, beating them 5-0.

Before that title victory, Leverkusen left it late to beat the London club 2-0 in the first leg of their tie on April 11 at the BayArena.

The German champions travel to England with a healthy advantage but Kudus believes the Hammers can overturn the result and advance to the semi-final of the competition.

"We will have a different approach and we believe we can make it, so we are going all in. The mentality is to go for it," he told BBC MOTD.

Kudus has been a key figure for the Hammers in the Europa League, netting five goals in eight matches, per Transfermarkt.

West Ham will welcome the return of forward, Jarrod Bowen, for tonight's game after missing the first leg in Germany.

"It was great to see Jarrod back out on the training field with us,” said West Ham manager, David Moyes. "It’s the first time we’ve had him with us, so we’re not sure whether he’ll make it or not yet.
"You always want your key players available, and your goal-scorers. We need goals tomorrow, and Jarrod is our top scorer," the Hammers boss added.

Bayer Leverkusen are yet to lose a game in the current campaign, with their record-extending to 43 matches.

Boniface mocks Kudus after copying celebration

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Victor Boniface performed Mohammed Kudus' celebration after scoring against West Ham in the Europa League in Germany.

The Nigerian forward scored for the Bundesliga champions from a strong header after meeting a Jonas Hoffman cross in the 91st minute of the UEL first-leg game.

Leverkusen will be hoping to continue their flawless run with at least a draw in London, which could see them through to the semi-final based on aggregate score.
