Gabriel Jesus still has a soft spot for Manchester City.

The Arsenal forward was seen on Wednesday night watching his former team take on Real Madrid in a penalty shootout.

He looked a bit nervous during the part of the shootout where his Brazilian teammate Ederson took a penalty.

Jesus knew the importance of that spot kick for his friend and old team as a miss there would eliminate Manchester City in this year's Champions League.

Jesus watches Man City's penalty shootout intently

Ederson was as cool as a cucumber, finding the back of the net with a penalty to the goalkeeper's right to level the score in the shootout at 3-3.

TNT Sports showed Jesus watching intently after Ederson buried the spot kick.

City's joy was short-lived, though, as Antonio Rudiger scored the match-winning penalty for Real Madrid seconds later.

Arsenal crash out of Champions League

It was a tough night all around for Jesus, who saw the Gunners crash out of the Champions League as well.

They lost 3-2 to Bayern Munich on aggregate, with Joshua Kimmich scoring the lone goal in the second leg.

Jesus was a substitute in this contest and came off the bench minutes after Kimmich handed Bayern the lead.

The Brazilian forward replaced Jorginho to bolster Arsenal's attack as the Gunners searched for the much-needed equaliser.

Unfortunately for Mikel Arteta, his team wasn't able to break down Bayern's defence. They managed just eight shot attempts against the Bavarian giants, three of which were on target, per the BBC.

Saka mocked by fans after awful corner

Sports Brief recently reported on fans mocking Bukayo Saka after the game against Bayern Munich.

They blasted the Arsenal winger after he delivered an awful corner kick in the dying seconds of the match.

His set piece failed to clear the first man, effectively sealing Arsenal's elimination.
